The Songs
Only memories – this is a sad, sweet jazz number.
The title says at all. The song is for times when you
find yourself looking back, only memories remain.
Ripple in G – this is a much more upbeat jazz
song. It is done in the 1940s, American style. Enjoy.
She's gone to the big easy – sometimes those
we love are attracted the something that's more
glittery and exciting. That is the theme of this song.
The big easy is the nickname for New Orleans,
which is one of the most glittery and exciting cities
in the United States. This song is done in a styled
that one can hear in the speak easy's and clubs
throughout New Orleans.
Hot diggity – this is another fun, upbeat jazz song.
Enjoy!
Mellow Sunrise – this is an alternative style song.
It was inspired by watching the sunrise over the
trees in the back of Dr. G's home.
Visions of Spring – this song was a song of hope.
It was inspired by the first buds of Spring. It is done
in a synth pop style common in the late 1980s and
early 1990s.
Bottle – this song was also composed for the
independent filmmaking crowd. In this particular
case the would-be director asked for a theme song
that hinted at significant alcohol use, but had a little
bit of a light-hearted feel to it. There you have it.
Enjoy.
All good things – this is one of two of the live
performances on this album. The song is not it is
polished in terms of harmony and timing as our
studio productions are, but you can feel the raw
emotion as we walked down memory lane and
realize that all good things eventually come to an
end.
Walks on the beach – this is another song that
was inspired by the coming of summer, visits to the
beach, and vacations with family and friends. The
song is done in a pop style from the early 2000s.
Enjoy!
Morning shuffle – this song is actually two songs
in one. It starts out with and engaging an toe
tapping rhythm and blues feel, and then, it
transitions into a modern-day shuffle. We hope you
like it.
Whales breakbeat – this is an experimental song
that combines whales song with an evolving
melody. Sometimes you are just in the mood to
listen the something completely different. This is a
song for those times.
Quaalude vision – this is the second of our live
performances. Although we are not aware of any
foreign substances being used during the
production of the song, it certainly has the feel of
an alternative experience. No matter what your
state of being, we hope that you enjoy the song.
The stars are ours – the final song on this album
was also done for an independent director. It is a
Science Fiction film, and the director asked for
something with that she easy, 1970s feel, but totally
different. And, this is it!
