Background
Our world runs on software. Software provides immeasurable value through security, automation, and scalability. To support Army Futures Command and other Army units that have software development requirements, the USAR Innovation Command must have in- house expertise in app development.Concept
This is a 10-session, 20-hour introduction course in app development using the MIT App Inventor toolkit. The course assumes no prior experience in software and gradually progresses from basic concepts of object-oriented programming in a low-code environment to advanced concepts with Javascript and Google’s Firebase software development environment. The course is designed for meetings via Teams weekly for 10 weeks to complete the tutorials or can be self-paced. All sessions will be recorded for future training.Key words
