Evening of Windsday, Death Week, Sea Season, Year of the Overlord 2164.
Following the battle of the leprechaun, the party made their way back to Ole’s camp. Along the way, they noticed
some markings on a tree. The party was able to recognize the markings as belonging to the Cerner Druids – a
chaos cult that seeks to destroy nature. Examining the area around the tree, the party was able to determine that
the markings were made within the last 48 hours. Maeddes determined that the tracks in the area appeared to be
made by some sort of reptilian or amphibian creatures. Further, it looked as if something buried under the tree had
been dug up, and something had been dragged away to the north. Despite these curious omens, the party decided
to continue to head back to Ole’s camp and spend the night resting there. Before they left, however, Chance
defaced the markings on the tree.
The next morning (Fireday), Ole gave the party a potion of super healing (8d4+8 HP) and 4 giant emeralds worth
6,000 Wheels. The party decided that Xaris should hold on to the healing potion. Further, the party received word
that a date had been set to meet with the Duke of Chagna Fel: Godsday of Fertility Week. Around this time,
Helegan, Ragin Bunce, and Ebenezer rode up to the camp and joined the party. Ebenezer had developed a scheme
to defeat the Uberhobgoblin, although Ragin Bunce and Helegan did not seem to share his enthusiasm for the
idea. Ebenezer explained that since the Uberhobgoblin is powered by the souls of the sacrificed servants, the
party merely needed to perform raise undead on the victims!
The party was less than enthused by this idea, especially Igny who, as a loyal servant of Humakt, views all undead
as abominations against the natural order and an affront to Humakt, the god of death. Ebenezer grumbled about
the party never liking any of his ideas.
At this point, the party began final preparations for assaulting Killer and the other rogue werewolves to bring them
back into the fold under Ole’s authority. The plan was simple: the party would use invisibility potions to sneak into
the camp from an underground passage and then overpower Killer and the other leaders.
As the party approached the camp from the underground passageway, they encountered four werewolves
standing guard in the middle of the tunnel. Most of the party was able to sneak past undetected, but Xaris and
Dethjak both made too much noise in their armor, and the jig was up. Gunther, reacting quickly, raised an earthen
wall behind the party, sealing off two of the werewolves on the other side of the wall. The party quickly
overpowered the remaining two guards, but the noise of the struggle put the rebel camp on alert by the time the
party exited the tunnel.
Igny rushed ahead towards the camp tents to try to engage the leaders in combat before the party could be
surrounded. Xaris followed close behind, and Mobec cast Hypnotic Pattern on the werewolves that quickly
engaged the fighters. Several of the werewolves, including Killer, became entranced by the Hypnotic Pattern and
simply stood there completely incapacitated. Meanwhile, Maeddes, Helegan, and Ebenezer held off attackers on
the other side of a hedge that formed a natural wall of the camp. Ebenezer charged one of the rebels with a sword
and killed him!
Chance, seeing the battle go in the party’s favor, and wanting to prevent further bloodshed, leapt to the
incapacitated Killer, and held his crystal dagger to Killer’s neck. The remaining rebels surrendered, and all were
brought back to Ole’s camp.
And with that, the session ended.
TL;DR: The party defeated the werewolf rebels
